The Walking Collective is a collaborative, interdisciplinary initiative which explores the everyday act of walking as a vital form of collective and place-based knowledge-making, political action, and creative practice.
The Walking Collective
Through a forthcoming multimedia journal, an ongoing podcast series, and in-person and remote walking events and talks, we envision walking as a medium for bringing together and bridging broader cultural, historical, and political questions. We intentionally pursue these questions in public and common spaces—from sidewalks and city parks to museums, universities, and wilderness pathways.
